cakoi~

last monday evening, while i'm at home. i've made something to eat.huuhuh..my mom said that she want to try a new recipe which is about quite long time thought to make it.but last monday only the day that the wish came true.hahaha..

the 'kuih' is named cakoi.huhu..i like to eat cakoi.that's why i wanna try to make by myself.my mom said why don't we try make it since it is not so hard to do.so, monday morning my mom bought all the things to make 'kuih cakoi' and at the afternoon i'm started preparing all the ingredients and mixed it in one big bowl.the first step to make this 'cakoi' is to measure all the ingredients according to what had written in the book recipe. my mom reminds me, make sure that all the ingredients will be measured exactly like had stated in the book.so, im with a full of cautions do it.so, after mixed all the ingredients altogether in a big bowl.i need to mixed them well until all of it turns to dough.then dough has to be rest for about 1/2 an hour before it can readily to be fry.

after 1/2 an hour(but actually more than an hour, coz i forgot doing something else,haha) my mom called me and tell me what had happened to the dough.and i directly rushing to the kitchen to check it out.when i opened the cover, i saw the dough that i'd made before had expends like WOW!haha...

then, without wasting much time, i take the dough in a small pieces to make it into a pattern of 'cakoi' like i always watched 'makcik kedai cakoi' did.huhu..eventually, it is exactly not like what i thought.it is not easy to handle the dough.haha.coz, the dough was so flabby and super soft..hohoh.my mom said that i'd over pour an amount of water so that's why my dough became like that..hahah(sorry, this is the first time i did.).and don't worry it's still can be cook coz my spirit to make my own 'cakoi' was still there.hahah

some 'renovation' i'd need to do with the dough.my mom asked me to pour some flour.then yeah! that's it.my cakoi is ready to fry..huhuh.after im cutting a dough into a small long pieces, then it's ready to fry in a hot oil.my mom monitor the fried while im still work with the dough.so when it turn to brown it is ready to take out from the pan. then my mom is the first persom who tasted it.and she said 'hurmmm,sedap lah..lembut jew'.eventhough it is not good looking enough(not like at kedai lah).that's it when i can make a smile.my first try of making 'cakoi' doesn't dissapoint me.heheh

then it's ready to be served.after about an hour i've finish cooking the 'cakoi',my mom suddenly called me and asked me.'sape yg beli cakoi ni?' with her smiled face.and i came out from my room i saw that there was 2 type of 'cakoi' already on the table..aiyooo, who bought this??and actually my cousin's husband bought that.as he doesn't know we actually work hard to make that 'cakoi'.haha..but it's ok lah.but the good things is, i can compare my cakoi with the kedai pny, so that i can know my weakness.haha

what i can say is, cooking is about fun.i love cooking so much.and i cook with a full of love.it just wasting that a lady cannot cook.huhu..so ladies, learn how to cook.it is not hard.try it!and you'll be much happy if a compliment return back to you.but if not,don't be give up, try again next time ya.
